Snowboarding: Techniques And Typical Errors
People who are just going to fond of snowboarding have too many questions about practicing this kind of sport. Let?s discuss some of them that are general questions and errors of snowboarding riding.
By words the technique of riding is very difficult to explain: imagine the self-instruction manual “How to become the ballerina” Therefore high lights of technique of a snowboard, conditional levels of the driving, typical errors are more low described only.
For beginners and not only:
- At any possibility remove the driving on video
- Safely address to instructors, any people going for a drive on docks for the help
- Learn to brake and stop
- Please, do not fall forward:
- Be not afraid to sweep, twist the case and to wave hands the first days (do not forget to get rid subsequently of it).
- Hold the case vertically, it is not necessary to bend faced to knees.
- The board costs plainly on snow if only you move directly downwards.
- If you move a traverse or do the turn, one of edgings should be torn off from snow, it is called edging.
- At edging your center of gravity should be or over an edging pressed by snow, or behind it, i.e. at movement downwards in the beginning there is an edging torn off from snow, then the edging pressed by snow, then your center of gravity; it is the main way not to fall forward through an edging (to catch an edging).
- It is necessary to stop by statement of a board across a slope and simultaneous edging.
- At falling fall back, without being bent in a waist, on all back at once, (ask fighters as) on a tangent to a slope.
- In 5-10 days you will not fall any more (ask any skilled snowboarder and you will become more confident).
Typical errors:
- Absence of edging.
- A support on a hind leg, and, as consequence, absence of controllability.
- Attempts to jump on a board instead of to slide.
- Attempts to go both left, and the right foot forward.
- Unwillingness to continue to study, despite falling.
Really hope that with the help of these simple tips you will improve your technique and will ride on the slope correctly. Don?t be upset because of often falls, every beginner in snowboarding should go through this lesson, probably not very pleasant. All you need to be patient and devoted to your favorite kind of sport. Snowboarding will become the part of your life and you will never give up it anymore, of course if you have good physical condition. Wish you good riding and take good care of yourself.
